New London Ledge Light, 12"x16"
My love for historic buildings is carried out into the sea with this lovely little lighthouse in the New London, CT harbor. It is an iconic image and was featured in the CT Open House Show at the Maple & Main Gallery of Fine Art. This piece blends paint, vintage ephemera and my photography of arguably the most well recognized and beloved lighthouse in Connecticut. This is the one-of-a kind original, not a reproduction.
Inspired by my passion for travel and nature, my photography marries beautifully with mixed media techniques. Each piece tells a unique story through the quiet scenes captured, the vintage ephemera incorporated and the touches of paint that when combined creates a new piece that is greater than the sum of its parts.
