My love for Colorado and it's beautiful mountains runs wide and deep and I spent 10+ years living in and exploring the state. Creating art with my photos now that I've moved away helps me heal my homesickness and connects me to the nostalgia I feel for the state and it's scenery.
My mixed media pieces are an alchemy of paints, papers, pastels, pencils, inks, stains and vintage ephemera to enhance the photographic images I have captured. This photo at the heart of this piece is from an orchard at the base of Mt. Garfield on the Western Slope of CO. This piece is an original piece, not a reproduction.
