A rustic, chippy grain elevator - one of my favorite subjects to work with. Known as beacons of the prairie, they speak to the agricultural past of the West/Mid-West. This original piece of artwork incorporates acrylic paints, pencils, pastels and authentic vintage ephemera (including clippings from a 1904 agricultural guide, vintage seed catalog, and assorted ledgers and receipts from the late 1800s/early 1900s) anchored by my photography. A contemporary piece of agricultural art/industrial art with a vintage aesthetic.
