This piece comes from my Life in the 30s series and features an old grain elevator sidled up to the tracks that that sold grain, coal and other necessary items for the farmers in the community. Acrylic paints and authentic ephemera (receipts, ledgers, agricultural charts from the late 1800s/early 1900s) are layered with a vintage image from the 1930s which lends an aesthetic quality and historical perspective to this piece of original art.
