Lying in Wait, 6"x6"

Regular price

This original piece of artwork features one of the buildings on the expansive and largely abandoned Stanley Tools Factory in New Britain, CT.  Sadly most of the grounds are in the process of being demolished despite community and preservation group efforts to save the historic buildings.  This building in particular is currently on hold as plans to adaptively reuse the building are in talks.  Although rustic, this building has lovely architectural details inside and out.

This mixed media painting is layered with my photography of the building, vintage documents, acrylic paints and oil pastels to create a unique, vintage inspired piece of industrial art.  This is the one-of-a kind original, not a reproduction.

Specifications:

• block is then set within a 7"x7"x1.5" natural wood floating frame

Bring a truly unique piece of historical yet contemporary art into your space.
